We love this recipe because it’s creamy and super easy to whip up for a quick snack or breakfast. The cranberries are tart and juicy and give it a unique spin on our morning smoothies. 

I love to stock the freezer with bags of fresh cranberries when they are in season during the fall time. And this is a recipe that is perfect for those seasonal berries.

Substitutions

  • use your favorite milk of choice. You could also substitute with dairy-free milk like almond milk.
  • I prefer to use raw honey, you could also use maple syrup or other natural sweetener of choice.

Instructions

I love how easy smoothies are to make! Just simply add all ingredients to the blender and blend until well combined.

Some tips for preparing for making this recipe

  1. I do recommend using a high powered blender to combine the ingredients really well. 
  2. Enjoy your cranberry smoothie right away for best results.

Smoothies are best when they are served immediately after making them. If you need to store yours for later, be sure to freeze it instead of storing in the fridge. 

Freeze into ice cube trays or popsicle molds for a delicious treat!

FAQs

Definitely! If you want it thicker, I would suggest reducing the orange juice to ½ cup.

Yes, you can, but it will not have that same frozen texture. I would suggest adding some ice cubes to the blender if you want to use fresh berries instead of frozen ones.

A great substitution for orange juice is to use cranberry juice. You might want to add more honey to help with some of the extra tart flavors.
